Cold Bureau is fiction. The deaths, people, and papers are invented. Do not treat a case file as a real report.

A purchase is a license for the email address that paid, on up to two devices at a time. Sharing the code does not share the desk: redemption checks that email. Payments run through Stripe. Access mail is sent with Resend when those keys are set.

We store the email, the purchase, the devices you sign in from, your notes, and the interview transcript so a case can last more than one sitting. Interview text may be sent to xAI when a model key is configured, so a character can answer in their own words. Unlock rules stay on our server.

Each case has a model budget. After it is spent, the mystery remains playable with shorter text and without paid voice. Questions already asked can be replayed without a new model call.
