Preliminary incident report
COLD BUREAU — FIELD COPY Case desk: Hrafn, Gásadalur Victim: Søren Ask, 47, chef-proprietor Pronounced: 21:41 by Constable E. Nattestad, who walked up from the village.
Ask collapsed at the kitchen pass at about 21:29, witnessed by the room. He had a tasting spoon in his hand. A bowl of the ninth course was on the steel in front of him, half lifted. A second bowl, destined for the dining room, sat to the right.
No gunshot, no blade, no struggle. The face was flushed, then grey. The constable notes a bitter smell on the spoon, which he had the sense not to taste.
Guests still in the building: Julian Marchetti (seat 4), Aya Mori (seat 6, returned from the alcove), Ruth Ask (seat 1), and the Nymans (seats 8 and 9), who ate, panicked, and have been kept in the private room. Staff: Ingrid Holm, Pip Callender, Tomas Lind. The Nymans are not your problem unless the timeline moves. They did not enter the kitchen.
The road is closed. You have the building until morning.
